Fatty Liver - Caused by Obesity, Diabetes and Alcohol Drinkers

Fatty liver disease
covers a range of conditions where there is a build-up of fat in the liver cells. The liver cells (hepatocytes) normally contain some fat and related fatty chemicals (triglycerides, fatty acids, etc). Excess fat is normally passed out of liver cells, into the bloodstream, and then taken up and stored in fat cells (adipose cells) throughout the body.

In fatty liver disease, excess fat builds up in liver cells. This is thought to happen if there is some problem or disruption in the normal processing of fat and related fatty chemicals in the liver cells. (Eating fatty food by itself is not a cause of fatty liver disease.)

Simple fatty liver (also called 'hepatic steatosis')

Simple fatty liver is common. (In the US it is thought to occur in 1 in 4 adults.) Simple fatty liver is present when the fat content inside liver cells makes up more than 5-10% of the liver's weight. Simple fatty liver is not associated with serious damage or harm to the liver. It seems that the fat just builds up harmlessly in liver cells. It can occur for no apparent reason. However, most people with simple fatty liver have other conditions where fatty liver is a complication. Mainly:

1.Excess alcohol -

Many cases develop in people who drink more alcohol than the recommended limits. Over half of people who drink heavily develop simple fatty liver.

2.Obesity -

Most people with simple fatty liver who do not drink excess alcohol are obese. The factors that determine who will develop fatty liver are not known. Some mildly overweight people develop fatty liver while some who are severely obese do not.

3.Diabetes -

Failure to monitor the sugar level of this problem, can create uncontrollable craving for sweets with high fat contents, which will lead to high sugar levels and will be a candidate for a fatty liver

How will you know if you have a fatty liver?

Doctors, Normally will examine your abdomen through ultra saounds, Ct scans and liver biopsy if neccessary.

What are the Symptoms if you have one?

Symptoms for this disease are;

1.Headaches and migraines, fatigue, bad breath, mood swings
2.Lack of mental alertness, confusion, mental fogginess, depression
3.Hypoglycaemia and unstable blood sugar (diabetes symptom)
4.Weight gain (particularly around abdomen)
5.Difficulty losing weight or following a weight loss program
6.Constantly losing weight and gaining weight
7.Indigestion, heartburn, reflux, bloating
8.Irritable Bowel Syndrome
9.Allergies (asthma, rashes, hives and hay fever)
10.Food cravings including sugar cravings (diabetes symptom)
11.Gallstones and gallbladder disease
12.Obesity
13.High blood pressure
14.Decreased sex drive
15.Dry itchy eyes
16.Fluid retention

How to Prevent and cure it?

For People who drinks alcohol -

Stop drinking, when the disease is cause by the abuse of alcohol, you need to stop when under medication, so that complications will not arise, which may lead to more serious problems like cancer or even death.

For People who suffer from diabetes -

Have a low fat diet and monitor your sugar level. When sugar level rises up, it can create problems other than having a fatty liver. There are many programs that can guide you in having low fat diets or healthy foods which can help your body lose that fatty liver.

For people who suffer from obesity -

Exercise, lose weight and have a strict diet, (which includes staying away from fatty foods) is the answer to this. Doctors always recommend this to their patients so that other complications will not follow such as heart problems and high blood pressure, which can lead to heart failures or even death.

There are highly recommended exercise, healthy foods and lose weight programs that doctors, experienced nutritionist and body builders recommend, these are Strip that fat, e-diet programs and I-train exercise programs that these experts say is highly effective and has many true to life testimonials. Of course have an open mind and change your attitude and discipline yourself so that you will be successful in losing your weight and have a the patience to stick to your diet.

Of course as you lose weight, stop drinking alcohol, and have a strict diet, do not stop the medication that doctors will give you, and if you like to accelerate the process of losing weight faster, use a fat binder supplement so that results will be seen just in a few days.
